It's a LITTERAL Texas Cent All joking aside these state counterstamps were dine by companies selling sets of them. Nothing too special

It's a modern novelty piece that's typically sold in sets ... all fifty states. I think the sets originally sold for $15-$20. Looks like this one was removed from the cardboard holder and spent.
Don't mess with Texas!

Just won this beauty for a fair price on ebay. I was wondering if anyone had more information on this counterstamp. Also what do you think the first letter/symbol is? It looks like and open D or a backwards C.

I've not a clue on this maverick c/s. Otherwise, this is a great looking host coin.

I once had a 1973-D cent that had a portrait of Kennedy counterstamped on it.

Here's a cutlery mark from the Case knife company. This one has cross-appeal for collectors of counterstamped coins as well as knives. Many cutlery makers left their marks on coins. This host coin is a quarter ...
