I found 87-cents yesterday and 6-cents today. Yesterday I brought in my 'little helper'. Its a bar of thin aluminum about two feet long (looks like a metal yardstick, or a meter-stick for my Canadian friends). I used it to scrape some coins that people dropped and that rolled under the machine. Today's coins I just found in the tray.

Keep looking, especially at different times and locations. You'll hit silver at some point. Found the two larger coins in the reject tray and the smaller one on the floor in plain sight. More fun than value.

Found a 1961 Canadian nickel today on a dump run with about $75 in pennies. Sorry about the bad pic, can any of you educate me about it's history and value because of its nickel content? Thanks.

I don't know if any of you have noticed what I have, but I've found many more 'forgotten' coins in Coinstar reject trays in higher class neighborhoods than in poorer ones. I'm not sure if this is because the rich folks don't care about the 'trash' or that more people look in discard or change trays in the poorer areas than the rich.

I think you're right, atticguy. In my area (upper middle class) I find coins in the reject slots all the time. One time I saw a guy dump his entire life's amount in change. A big handful fell into the reject slot. He threw it in the trash! Well, his loss. Free steel penny for me! I think that people with lower income just appreciate and understand the value of money better. They're the only ones who really do! Well, except coin collectors.

Found a 1946 Rosie and two newer Canadian nickels in the reject tray of a Coinstar Friday. That makes four silver (that I can remember) from this particular machine!

Slow couple of weeks. Cumulatively, 2 clad dimes, one Jeff nickel, 3 zinc US cents, a Canadian penny, and this token: I suppose it's some sort of play money or generic token where no one company wanted to lay claim to it. I assume the RWM refers to the manufacturer.

The token is from the Roger Williams Mint, a token manufacturing company. They used to be based in Massachusetts for about 75 years, but are now part of a larger company. No idea for value, I want to say might be an arcade token?

I have tons of those tokens, from MD finds, Coinstar, parking lots, etc. They are not really worth anything.

My first coinstar finds! Well not my first, but my First Over .01 Cent! Does anyone know what kind of coin is in the lower left corner of the pic? Thanks in advance.
