Thanks Joseph, it's a 54. I'll look it up.

Edit:
The Aussie coin was on the floor under the edge of the machine, almost missed it

By the way, if the French coin is dated 1950, it could be worth around $12.00...

Bit of a dry spell. I found a couple of zinc Lincolns and nothing else. But on Black Friday I was checking out at the grocery and heard the clink of coins from the machine. Waited around and found:

Interesting token. And my third 1941 cent in a week. Otherwise not all that exciting. I'm still waiting for my first silver quarter.

I pulled a waffled 1983 cent from a bank coin counter. Its ugly, cancelled and damaged, but still pretty neat.

Unbelievable!

I saw a store employee searching the Coinstar at my grocery store the other day. I suspect when she's around I'll never find much.

I have an arrangement with one of my local banks with a coin counter to check their reject bin for foreign coins (they throw them out). They keep or use the american coin rejects. We checked it today and found a 1923 Peace dollar in pretty good shape!! Also found 7 ikes (no silver) and some other bent up coins. a couple of foreign - nothing too exciting. I told the manager to make sure that she keeps the Peace dollar no matter what. there was also an ENTIRE Roll of nickels in there - still in the wrapper. some idiot dumped the roll - wrapper and all.

seeing that peace was awesome. she had no idea what it was. I scored major points by making sure to tell her what it was and what it was worth. she had called me earlier in the day to say that the bag of pennies had filled and they found a few wheat pennies in the loose ones that fell out or overflowed. that is service.
