carmykle Pillar of the Community United States 2448 Posts	Posted 09/15/2012 11:57 am I think I will buy a few. I worked with some guys in the Lions Club while in Washington State. They did a lot of work with not only the blind but Special Olympics also. They talked me into being a "Hugger" at the finish line of one of the "Dashes" and it was our job to cheer on the child in our lane and give them an encouraging word and a hug when the crossed the finish line. Almost tore my heart out every time a kid ran. I was going to join the Lions Club there, but received a transfer to Maryland. Never seemed to find the right club again. Spent ten good years with them and I can only say that for volunteer and charitable work they cant be beat. I think this is a great commem... I like the Baseball HOF commem but this seems like a better cause.
