Was hoping a more skilled pair of eyes could verify my attribution.

Thanks

Hi, I am still learning, but I think it is a doubled date, s tilted left.
That's if I looked at my new "Morgan and Peace dollar encyclopedia" correctly They call it VAM 65 OR 67(just date) I do not think it adds value
I would check out this site:

Good luck

I don't think that it is VAM-70. As britches already mentioned the S is tilted left. From the closeup of the date it looks like the entire date is doubled..
My guess from pics provided is possibly a VAM-33. Does the first 8 have the die chip on the right side? Also, can you get some close-ups of the mm?

Obverse Entire date is doubled. 1 is doubled on left side of vertical shaft. First 8 is doubled on top surface at bottom of lower loop with a die chip between loops on right side. Second 8 is doubled at lower left outside of upper loop. 0 is doubled slightly at lower left inside.
Reverse VI S mint mark tilted left and doubled with a short diagonal spike on left inside of upper loop and a long diagonal line within lower loop.

Thanks Britches and Christina for an indepth look. I've taken the best close-up [pics I can with a handheld camera and a homemade macro lens. There does appear to be a die chip on the right side of the first 8 and something is definitely in the upper loop of the MM.

Take Care

With the new pics I change my mind I say VAM-7. The close-up of the mm shows its a IV S mm and not a VI S mm (On the VAM-33.

Compare it to this:

VAM-Check,-VAM-70,-1880-S
