1951 Quarter......low Or High Relief?

middross Pillar of the Community Canada 695 Posts	Posted 10/26/2012 11:29 am So I got this from ebay with the assumption that it was high relief. From what I have read, the HR will have both A's in Gratis pointing to denticles and LR with have both poing between dentic On my coin it is clear that the second A points to the denticle, but the first A is a tough call. I don't see any variety that has one pointing between and one pointing at, so I have to assume that they are both pointing at the denticles. Any opinions are welcome as I am stumped. 54dollarcoin Valued Member Canada 475 Posts	Posted 10/26/2012 7:43 pm Have owned a 1949,50,51, and 52 set all coins were mixed UNC and PL. All sets were in little white boxes in cellophane holders and a copper staple. Thus very similiar to early 1950's US proof sets. The coin pictured is a high relief. To see a good example of the scarce PL only issue of 1951 Low Relief check out the one we just sold on ebay Tradingnancy completed listings. The difference is hugely apparent!
