Great additions, everyone! I am still looking for a graded specimen of the Händel "Benevolent Choral Fund" Halfpenny. Seems very hard to locate.

Its been a while so here's a recent acquisition, part of a lovely complete proof set, by a good margin the nicest proof 1937 red bronze Ive seen, the strong cameo is the cherry on the top! :

Beautiful ships, Dollar, and the best-looking George VI portraits I've seen on copper. Very nice examples!
And of course one good proofy ship deserves another! Bristol, Somersetshire, 1811 1/2d issued by the Patent Sheathing Nail Manufactory. Withers 473a, RRR.

I really like Daltonista's token. Sheathing nails were made of copper and attached copper sheeting to the wooden hulls of warships, which prevented barnacle growth and invasion by creatures that like to eat oak. The practice ended when the navy started using teak, which contains oils which barnacles and other wee beasties don't like. Matthew Boulton and other token producers had had to compete with the Royal Navy to buy copper.
