Thanks. I'm done stacking for awhile and will return to numismatic collecting. Ive done enough of diversifying money-wise and I'm just going to sit on my stack. Of course Ive said that before but I do want some Historical pieces now.

After picking up a cleaned 49 O gold dollar, LCS sold me an 1877 8 reales (Mexico City, with chopmarks and a possible acid stain), 1899 French 2 francs (VG), 1888 Canadian quarter (VG), 1926 poltinnik (XF), and holed 1767 Potosi (Bolivia) real for $50.

@ IndianGoldEagle, glad you got some 90%. I've read a couple reports and seen a couple Youtube videos saying some refiners have stopped buying 90% and sterling for melting, they have a backlog of it from people selling due to high silver prices. Some dealers probably have a lot with sales selling at spot. I think this is a temporary situation though. I hate to hear of 90% being melted. I don't think it happens often but sometimes does with huge spikes in spot prices.

Here is my newest add to the stack, 10 oz silver Pamp dragon bar from Costco. With 2% member cash back it was a decent price for a fancy bar in sleeve/capsule.

LCS offered to let me go through a collection he just purchased (it was in a 5 gallon bucket). Spent about an hour checking for numismatic (several were loose, including a 63 IHC, 86 IHC maybe XF, 1915 nickel which he graded at AU, 1917 dime with full bands, a couple passable trimes) and sorting the silver into 40% halves, Franklin, WLH, Barbers, SLQ and Washington quarters, Barber, Mercury and Roosevelt dimes, plus checking the Shield, V, and Buffalo nickels and IHCs.

For my labors, he sold me 6 Columbian Exposition halves and an (AU?) Stone Mountain for $140. I paid an additional $10 for ratty 1836, 40, and 41 dimes, a 1907 Canadian 5 cent, a 1917 French 50 centimes, a 1904 Panama 5 centesimos (XF?), and a 1944 Philippine 20 centavos.

Very nice, livingwater!

My LCS deals mostly in bullion. They buy junk and sterling, and lots of it. They've stopped buying sterling, as their refiner told them it's an 8 month wait for processing.

The back up at the refiners won't last forever. Now is the time to buy 90% at bargain prices. I'm getting it for spot or a little less depending on how much I buy. They want $3 over spot for generic rounds and bars, $8 over for ASE's. It's a no brainer for me.
