When you think about it, you can understand why some of the "no hole varieties" are left out of the 7070. I, and I'm sure that many of the other members, do not have the funds to buy those three dollars at today's prices. If those holes were in the album I believe that many people who went with the 7070 would not have even started their collection. Luckily in my case, they were acquired at early sixties prices before my "real life" took precedence. Report this Post to the Staff

Here are the approximate melt costs for the 90% silver, 99.9% silver, and 90% gold coins of the 7070 with the Gold page added (doesn't include 35% silver War Nickel or any commemorative halves or dollars): Silver: approx 10.4 oz. @ $28.52 = $296.61 Gold: approx 3.72 oz @ $1570.79 = $5843.34 That means you can choose your quality on the silver part of the 7070 and make it affordable for you, but you can't touch the coins needed for the gold page for less than $6 thousand, even buying the poorest quality available.
