Last Spring my favorite local coin dealer showed me a hoard of unsorted Canadian mostly pocket change plus circulation pulls that he just wanted 'off his desk'. Included were ~100 rolls of pennies from the 1920's up to the late 1980's. The total price was 80% of face. It was ~50 pounds of metal that I had trouble lifting. I questioned my sanity at the time, but now it seems like a prescient purchase. Thanks to the information you folks are posting, I will have at least a rudimentary idea of what to look for whenever I find the time to search this mess.

should we save all old pennies?

Of course, that's what we do here.

all it takes is space to store them, the cost is negligible.

you never know when you may want tomorrow what you set aside today
