Yes these are shot through 2x2 and out of focus. I am mostly seeking conformation that these are type b, and if you could a rough guess on grades. Also, what is the value of these and should they be slabbed.

Also, what is the rarity on these and which date is the most rare? Thanks

Maybe this will help... http://boards.collectors-society.co...mber=3707283

Hard to tell from the pics, but I believe they are type B. Not completely sure though.

Thanks, I got some 2x2 today, so I can creak these out of the ones they are housed in and take better pictures. I just didn't want them running around free for too long.

Tough to tell by pics but the 1960 looks like a type b and maybe the second 1961. The first 1961 image is too blurry to tell.

I'd say definite Type B on all three coins. You need to be sure you don't get fooled by proofs labeled as mint state pieces; the proofs often have weak mirrors making them look like MS coins. It can be hard to tell.

These are cool coins but don't seem to have much of a premium in the real world. I've offered a Type B 1957 quarter graded NGC MS-66 several times on ebay for $70 but it received no bids. Retail price guides have this coin at $125 in MS-65 which is obviously pretty optimistic. I offered a 1962 Type B in EF which sold for about the same price as a normal coin.

The high prices in the retail guides make the Type B coins look like cherry-picking winners but it's not easy finding anyone who really wants them.

They are all type B's.
Looks like a couple Unc's.
The 1956 is the scarcest followed by I believe
the 61 but not positive on that one.
HarveyP will chime in on these soon for you.
Right Harvey ? :)
They ran from 56 through 64
Don't forget to look for the even more elusive
1964-D type C (reverse of 1965)
Also be aware that some worn proofs could be
confused with a business strike type B as the type B
is actually a proof reverse to begin with.

hi. never heard of the type B quarter until now thanks for the info . But am I right in thinking that all 1956-1964 proofs are type B ? And its only the business strike type B that is the ones that are rare ? I know this is a lot of questions but could someone shade some light on the 1964 type C thanks a lot for any and all info

I am pretty sure these are all business strikes. they don't have rims like proof and they have a lot of cartwheel. So any guess on grade? So not much value on these, what about to a dealer?

From what I can tell from those pics, the last one only seems to be a "B". By the strong detail in the tail feathers! I could be wrong?Need better shots.to tell. Nice though.
