Another tough one to grade the toning really does tend to hide the detail on the coin. the only really good thing toning does for grading in my opinion is it highlights any bag marks or wear.

Anyway for your grading practice here is a 1945 D Nickel.

In an effort to help others please explain the reasoning behind your grade choice.
After A couple of days I'll post what I called it.

I only see a couple of small tics on the cheek, some step detail is missing so I'll say MS65. Nice toner!

I'll go w/MS 64. Is that a die-gouge in top of hair? Propably just seeing things,again.

high end MS, probably a 65

tics on the cheek and green dot on the hair might hold it back from a 67

i like this mottled mess of a tone look A LOT on any coin

i just posted a rainbow toner in this coin as well and then saw this...just love it all
