This token is 21 mm, plain edge, non magnetic. It has a geometric design with the initials TC on both sides. I thought it might stand for Transit Commission but where?

Can any member ID this token? Jpegs attached.

That is a very unique token. No clue where it came from. Interesting to say the least.

Any time I see "TC" I think "Turkiye Cumhuriyeti" â€" the Turkish Republic. They use those initials everywhere. The photograph gives the impression that this piece has the ring-&-plug structure characteristic of a bimetallic coin. Is that a real circumferential seam?
A quick perusal doesn't show any 21 mm bimetallics it could be a trial piece for, though. I'd say that was a small size for a bimetallic, if I hadn't been in Toronto recently, where the TTC tokens are bimetallics of about 15 mm.

I swung by Toronto International recently and they had donation bins FULL of foreign coins - including pre-euro... I was banging on the glass... and I saw one of those tiny TTC tokens. It says what it is right on it, but it sure gave my eyes a workout...

Turkey seems likely, but it could also be "Transit C[city name]". Very mysterious.
