3 work shifts ago I started experimenting with putting $2s in the drawer from my wallet and asking customers if they would like a $2 or if they would prefer all $1s.. 3 shifts later, I've gone through a solid $260 in $2s and have run completely out!

$20,944 to go, assuming my math is right.

I've spent at least $600 over the past from months, but never kept track of them, as I should have for this thread, so let's just subtract $600 from the total, even though I'm sure I spent more.

Over the past week or two I spent $16 in two's until I ran out. I spent a few of these at a farm store and the cashier said "I don't know if we can accept these, are they real"? I convinced him that they are indeed real and he took them. It is fun educating the public.

$20,270 to go.

I spent a total of seven $2 bills at a county fair over the weekend. I used six to pay for admission, and the cashier remarked "Oh, twos" as she handled them. Later, I spend my last $2 bill on a cup of french fries. As soon as another cashier saw the $2 bill, he told the cashier that I gave the note to that he would buy it. I told him that the can be acquired at any bank and noted that it was one of the newest issues (a Series 2009).

$20,162 to go.
