A buddy has some notes he is looking to trade/sell at a local club meeting and wanted to know what they might be worth. I do not have a good idea at all on these notes so any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

The $100 might have a premium due to it being a star note. Not sure if the $20 would have some premium due to the writing near the margin (maybe $2 to $3 over face if any).

Why does the writting on the 20 say fake? That may not help.

Some ignorant soul did not see the modern anti-counterfeiting features of today's bills (water mark, security strip, etc.). Same thing has fooled many friends at school.
Rest in Peace

Those bills are from 1934, I would not spend those bills myself, if you can't afford to hold them, maybe you can trade them at a LCS so you know they won't be destroyed by the FED

Not many collectors for the 1934 series,if that is what they are, but I would not spend them..Hard to tell the grade from these pics, but I would guess not much more than $15 over face for the pair...I like to bundle notes like these in trade deals...I like the $100!!
Rest in Peace

1934? Keepers for sure.

They probably aren't worth spending but you could always sell/trade them at face value with someone who is new to collecting notes.

Or -- if you're at a show buying something from a dealer -- maybe pay with those notes in exchange for a discount. The dealer may not be able to make much money (if any) but he can make some customer really happy some day.
