1920 Lincoln Wheat Cent Rotated Die. Legit? How Common?

EI8 New Member United States 18 Posts	Posted 04/19/2013 11:26 pm I just started putting wheat back cents into a Whitman folder I picked up... first time collecting coins. It's a fun hobby. I stumbled upon this 1920 Lincoln and discovered by accident that the reverse is not aligned in the usual fashion. So far this is my second oldest cent, lol! I looked it up and apparently the misalignment is the result of a rotated die. Just glanced at the thread about Magician's coins... could this be faked... would someone fake a penny? Does anyone know how common this occurrence is? Are they random one-of-a-kinds or particular varieties of particular years? Thanks. Report this Post to the Staff
