I am not really a coin collector but have had some coins lying around for a bit and thought I might see what they would be worth. I did a bit of searching on the internet and am not able to come up with anything of sorts. Found a link to your web site and did some searching on here as well, albeit it more than likely is on here and I just don't know where to look but alas, am not able to find the information on these quarters. If you could kindly provide me with some information on these that would be great. What they might be worth what they are actually called(I don't know all the coin jargon, but I did pick a few things up just doing a quick search!)Where I might be able to find a buyer or an appraisal for these... if need be. Buddy Rest in Peace United States 7075 Posts	Posted 07/08/2013 9:43 pm The quarters appear to be painted. They may have been plated. They did not leave the US Mint looking like that. They have been altered -- which is why you couldn't find information on them. Those kinds of things are fun to find and I keep such little oddities, but they are only worth a quarter. publius Pillar of the Community United States 807 Posts	Posted 07/12/2013 2:25 pm I've handled Eisenhower dollars over the years which have been gold-plated (or washed, or painted). Most of them are more strongly gold-toned on one side than the other, though. Very strange. Report this Post to the Staff
