Hello all. I found this quarter a few days ago while CRH. I believe it has a small Cud in between the 3 and 4 o'clock positions but I have provided some pictures just to make sure. Also, one quick question: do Cuds HAVE to be on the rim of the coin? Thank you!

Looks like a collar Cud. The outside edge of the die is not affected.

I think this is a rim Cud and not a collar Cud. The die does not end at the edge of the field. There is a small recessed diameter at the edge of the die. This break is in that recessed ring.

The edge of the die is not on the rim. Note an off center:

The edge of the die, the collar and the strike form the rim area. It is called a rim Cud, but I feel it is a chip in the collar that make this. Not on the die.
