Hey, I'm new to identifying error coins, but I was wondering if this is a legitimate error or just some sort of wear pattern. I appreciate the insight! Found this in my pocket change.

Looks like an old worn out dime made by an old worn out die.

Without seeing the whole coin, that will have to be my best guest.

It's just a worn down dime.

Worn die and Struck Through Grease making the date look wider. Note the "P", it shows heavy wear also.

I should have uploaded the whole coin -- I'm still learning to wrangle the "image optimizer." It does make sense that this is just a wear pattern. I might hang onto it anyway though :)

Looks to be misaligned.

How's the reverse look?
