punman Pillar of the Community Canada 849 Posts	Posted 10/06/2013 12:43 am For those that collect the $2 coin - which side forward do you display them? Typically I have my coins with the reverse (non Queen) side facing up with all my coins and I can see most of the dates. I did this with my $2 coins too but now notice that most of them do not have the date visible so am thinking of facing them all the opposite way. That would mean with the queen up so the dates can be visible. Any others go this route or am I being picky about it? Report this Post to the Staff

sel_69l Bedrock of the Community Australia 21788 Posts	Posted 10/06/2013 08:19 am It ususually preferred by most collectors to display the reverse side towards the front, because that is the side that changes design more often, and so can be more easily identified by type, at a glance. Wade Pillar of the Community Canada 2784 Posts	Posted 10/06/2013 11:46 am (although I disagree) when grading more weight is given to the obverse so I would think OBV showing (like how they are slabbed). however with canadian coins it would be boring as all heck with a binder full of QE staring back at you. skyshark124 Pillar of the Community United States 1109 Posts	Posted 10/06/2013 3:27 pm For my Canadian coins, I have the Queen facing out on the common stuff that has the same obverse and reverse, but for all the unique stuff like the War of 1812, Christmas, 1999-2000 quarters, stuff like that, I have the reverse showing front. I do keep them in 2x2 flips and in transparent pages so you can see the obverse with a turn of the page. I vary the sides of my U.S. coins since there is more than one person on the obverse.
