Wow..Not even close to being real. I guess because he weighs it you will think it is real.

Weight is not a good indicator of authenticity.

^ Nor are 5s that look like they were drawn by my 3-year-old.

The 5 certainly looks wonky.. at first I thought this may be a legit coin that was doctored... like a 1923... but the whole date just looks wrong including the "2"'s so my guess is this is just a fake... what troubles me is that this isn't a seller from China but someone in our own back yard (Saskatchewan)... looking at any of his/her other items for sale I wouldn't bid on anything this person would sell.. it all looks fishy or way over priced

On the subject of Counterfeits, what happens when you report a fake to ebay ? I have reported about 20 fake RCM Nclt tender coin auctions I the last 2 Days, and they are still active . Just wondering if its worth reporting.

On a positive note I messaged a couple of sellers, and they removed the offending ads. They didn't realized the counterfeit problem, and just saw them as cheap alternatives to the original coins. It led to some letting buyers know they were fakes. I had a couple great conversations, and educated 3 people. One was interested in tips to avoid counterfeits in the future.

The 1925 and 1926 nickels were from China. The NCLT is getting pretty bad. I have removed over 500 in the last 30 days. The Granny Bait (not junk) collectors had better get their hat racks out of their depends fillers or it will get out of hand, again as the RCM is useless.
