I paid $25 for a fine Barber half dollar.

Is that a good deal or bad deal?

Without seeing the coin or the year it is a little difficult to say for sure. However, if it is a true fine and is undamaged, you probably did pretty well.

If it is in 'fine' condition, the catalog value is around $30 for the more common dates. With patient hunting, a price at less than catalog can be found.
If it was obtained via ebay, the extra fees and postage would have to be added, in consideration of a fair price to be paid.

I am on the other side of the Planet. I have yet to add a nice Barber, any date, to my collection. I am still looking.

I can get them for around 15 dollars on ebay in Good.

Since we can't see the coin, I can't say...

Post pictures of both sides for an accurate opinion.
