I have come to accept the fact the BU stands both for "brilliant uncirculaed" ... and "beat up". Sellers who are totally clueless and inexperienced at dealing in coins ... like to throw around terms that they don't (apparently) know the meaning of. rking007 Pillar of the Community United States 784 Posts	Posted 12/04/2013 02:31 am I've actually started to notice quite a few listings from sellers putting the word 'details' to mean that the coin is actually detailed. Like, XF details meaning, 'It has the details of an XF coin'. I actually like these listings because if the picture shows a problem free XF coin, for example, I usually get it for dirt cheap.
