not a big Peace dollar guy but I would say vg to f grade Looks uncleaned and original surfaces and yes it has value over melt.

I am concerned that it might be a 1923. Hard to tell from picture.

the guy is going to double check it for me tomorrow. He said if it is not a 28 he will let me back out.

That's a 1923 lol. Common mistake with beginners. Looks VF so I'd say maybe $2 over melt.

On the 1923 there is a large seriff on the hook. I am thinking it might just be dirt that is giving the illusion.

Looks like a Denver mintmark which of course means it cannot be a 1928. This is a common-date 1923-D in VF (at best), worth maybe $25.

You guye where right it was a 1923. They voided the sale for me so all is good. Just out of curiosity if it was a 1928, was $85 s decent deal for this coin?
