I did a search for 1995-S silver US dimes, looking first at only the sold items, then, more closely, at the PCGS certified ones. The price range was an eye opener - $7.00 to $100.00. Most of them were PR69 or PR70. Many of the PCGS labels were identical, even down to the numbers above the bar code. Does PCGS batch certify coins? Why the huge price range? Some people buy into the "70" hype but I prefer raw or even better get the silver proof set. I cannot see paying a significant premium for a 70 coin. Report this Post to the Staff

denco7 Pillar of the Community United States 2543 Posts	Posted 01/24/2014 10:57 pm The PF70 coins are always outrageous. These coins are only obtainable from cracking proof sets so 70's are few and far between. Check out the population reports at PCGS Coin Facts for the numbers of PF69 and PF70 coins graded by PCGS. PCGS has graded 2327 in PF69DCAM. But only 146 in PF70 DCAM, thus the price difference. Some of the larger sellers on ebay take one stock photo to use in their listings instead of taking pictures of each and every coin in their inventory. It is not against rules, but they should say "stock photo". If it is a PCGS slab, they should all be the same anyway. Edited by denco7 01/24/2014 11:05 pm Report this Post to the Staff
