The last time I got silver coin from a vending machine was about 20 years ago, so I think the best finds will be mostly nickels.

Today I got back a relatively-rare 1991 nickel.
A month ago, I got back a rare 2000-P nickel and a 1951 commemorative nickel at the same time.

What are you best finds from vending machines ?

I've gotten some really nice ATB Quarters recently. And a very nice 1995 coin. I wasn't impressed until I realized 1995 was nearly 20 years ago. So I kept it. I'd say it's about AU55

I used to maintain the Coke machine at a previous employer. Found a 1937 Buffalo nickel in fine condition.

I found an old Coca-Cola vending machine someone had dumped up a mountain road. Needed a lot of restoration, my wife said it had to go, sold it for $25 to the local flea market guy.
