Got Ten Dollars Face. Got 17 Wheat Cents!

Silverman8585 New Member United States 11 Posts	Posted 02/15/2014 7:24 pm I bought ten dollars face from my bank and I saw a wheat on the end. That's always a good sign. I mainly get cent rolls to get pull the pre 82s. I got a total of 17 wheats with the earliest being 1910! Two were 1934. I got a total of 177 coppers from 59-82. To be sure an 82 is copper do the flip test. I can usually tell by looking but to be sure, listen for the ring of copper. Or you can drop it on a table surface and it will create a distinct sound that differs greatly from the copper plated zinc ones. Report this Post to the Staff

Usually I get roughly ten percent coppers and a wheat is rare. Almost every roll had two. Good finds are still out there! Report this Post to the Staff
