There "normal" 10 oz bar is $1/oz cheaper
Good idea with all the fakes about but is it worth $1/oz?

I'm reminded of that scene in the film, Tommy Boy, where actor John Candy "delicately" discusses the merits of a written guarantee verses a company's reputation.

I think some collectors of old pour silver bars have, in past discussion threads, expressed an interest in such labels and certificates not so much as a security feature but as a way to research where and when their bars were manufactured. And I think many expressed the idea than an intact label might be worth a small premium. As for modern minted bars, I'm not so sure.

If I'm buying silver manufactured by a well known and reputable mint and purchased through a well known and respected dealer, my purchase receipt is probably the best "security label" I'll ever need.

Youre essentially paying a little over 4% extra for an extra 10 dollars on a 230 dollar base price to know you didnt just buy a 200+ dollar hunk of metal. You could also look at it as just paying for shipping which they arent charging for.

I would say its worth it. Cheapest isn't always best.
