albertharris Pillar of the Community United States 901 Posts	Posted 05/13/2014 5:10 pm Looking at a friends coins this one has a split upper serif, but ahhhh circulated and damaged mint mark. Looks like a later die state than CC, but see some of the same markers. Note same die scratch between 1 and 9. Not much room from GOD and WE to see die chips. Looks like die chip between D and rim. Marker die scratch from A though L in PLURBUS to N in UNUM Die scratch from Middle E through C in CENTS. Die crack (white)just starting in CC photos in same area. Die gouges (black) in upper bay just east of Lincoln's bay. Report this Post to the Staff

coop Bedrock of the Community United States 62064 Posts	Posted 05/13/2014 5:39 pm The location is close, but the shape of the mint marks are different. On is thinner and the other is wider. The location N/S is correct. The die scratches near the 9 is in different angles. So I'm not convinced as it being the same RPM. The 009 is a North and this one appears to be a split upper serif. The markers are close, the mint mark worn and damaged so a different shape, but seems to be in the correct spot and orientation for a 009.
