1951 Lincoln Wheat Cent / LWC Double Die?

paulekearney2 New Member United States 12 Posts	Posted 07/26/2014 3:02 pm This coin is one that until just a minute ago I thought was a newer penny, because of the condition, and when I looked at it it appears to be either a DDR or a double strike. The picture is to blurry to see the MD but clear enough to see its not a doubled die. Note its not a double strike for that is a different error altogether. Report this Post to the Staff

That is where the most prominent error is, but the picture is not doing it justice. The letters almost appear like a rolling pin was use. Report this Post to the Staff

What helped me is to look at coins that are a DDR.. the oval shape of the dot, thickness in wheat stalks etc Report this Post to the Staff
