Hi All

My mother collected 1999 quarters in the mint rolls. I can see that one end quarter in the February roll has the dot between the last two 9s in the date. I'm wondering what the value would be for a quarter from the roll in comparison to the one with the dot.

Thanks

The same, though interesting, it's not a popular sought after error.

Dots in the area of the date are more collectable than dots in other areas on a coin. I would hold onto the coins until the variety is listed in a catalog. If you release them into circulation they will be ARPed - never to be seen again.

I think I have this particular variety already. Try posting one on ebay, someone else might be interested.

I think it might be a tough sell. For most collectors of this type of minor variety it's more about the thrill of the hunt than the posession of the coin.
