1946 50 Cents (Help Info Please)

I picked up 2 half dollars recently. A 1940 and a 1946. Both are decent examples but circulated. As I looked at the price guide I noticed a listing for 1946 and one for 1946 "Design".

What is "Design"? Mine does have the die break between the 4 and 6 in the date. It also has one of the die clash marks on the reverse.

Can someone explain what coin I have?

I can get pictures tomorrow if needed.

Just do a search for '1946 design' in this forum... there are pictures and many discussions on this highr priced variety.
