thekurt, Buffalo nickels were first minted in 1913. So, 1907 would have been a Liberty Head Nickel.  Edited by Gary Burke

1953 Washington quarter.   . I can hardly remember the last time I found a silver coin in circulation. I got it in change from a coffee shop in the building where I work. Nobody could understand how I could get so excited over an old beat up quarter.  No doubt everyone can guess what question came out the mouth of every person: "What's it worth?" |

Stopped at a convience store this morning to gas up and get something to drink. I was going to need change for the turnpike and asked the clerk for $3 worth of quarters. As I'm driving down the road my wife says, "some of these quarters look funny." 5 of them were SBA's. |

In the past couple of weeks I've come across a silver Roosevelt dime, silver quarter, a 40% silver Kennedy half, a half dozen wheat pennies and a really neat 20 pence piece that was in a bank roll of nickels. |

I found an Au 1971-S Lincoln in Change .That is a rarity way over here on the East coast

I also got an s-mint lincoln in change. Mine is a 1969-s., probably F-VF. These are also rare in Kansas.

Girlfriend found a Buffalo nickel in change, asked if it was worth anything and I told her to let me take a look at it. It was a 1936 in relatively bad condition. Pretty interesting find anyway. |

Found a '63D Rosey along with 2 Canadian dimes and a Canadian nickel in the CoinStar the other day.

This week I have found:
20 Cent 1982 New Zealand
20 Cent 2001 Australia (Federation celebration)
But the most interesting find has been
50 Cent 1980 Fiji coin, never saw one before and I was surprised that it is the same size and shape and Australian 50c pieces.
