Nope, Silver and Bronze have always allowed ties.
There are no ties for Gold.

Quote: Unless amida17 or I come in first in this round it looks like D0ubl3Eagle will win(or tie for) the gold. That will put him one up on me as far as overall number of gold's won. Looks like I was having a major senior moment when I posted that...had it totally backwards. Congrats & good luck in the tie breaker to both of you.

Quote: jbuck what was the grade on the 1875 S? I think it lands between fine and very fine. I could not get the camera to pick up the contrast, but LIBERTY is readable, although very weak. The reason I bought it, and which definitely does not show in the photo (same contrast problems), is the gunmetal toning that the coin has acquired. I really like the character, which is what I wanted in this particular coin. What surprised me, going by the guesses, is how many of you thought this was a quarter! I guess history has repeated, in a way.

Thanks all!.... Congrats D0ubl3Eagle! I'm actually nervous..... Two questions......when was it purchased? And, yeah, what is the time limit? D0ubl3Eagle has his timing down (it seems he votes later in each round) 2nd one to vote has a distinct advantage, in my estimation....?

I would say a private message to JB would be the fair way to do it.

Sometimes moving last or nearly so, gives an advantage if you would like to guess a price that is somewhat contrarian to most of the guesses or if you think you know something that others may not know. Other times, it may mean all the good guesses will be taken before you get to guess. So it depends. I do prefer to guess late. Sometimes it works and other times it doesn't. There have been many seasons when I had few extra points to show for it.
I think it is about time we crown a new champion. My guess will be:
$225
Good luck amida17! I think you are going to win this playoff.
