This was in with a small bag of proofs that was left to me. Is it a proof or has it been plated?
I placed it beside a regular 72 Ike to show the difference in the color and shine.

It is not a proof. Possibly polished.

I think it is polished because I can see the copper core, which would be covered by most plating processes.

I agree with being polished.

If you have a powerful magnet, you should try it
out on the Ike dollar. (Just wondering something)

I vote goes to a light polish. Just enough to make it look good without wearing it down too much.
