Hello all, This coin stick's out next to the other's! Seem's, I kinda remember seeing coin's like this. Acid, corrosion?lines really show strong. Look's to me that the copper is gone and feel's lighter than the normal penny. What ya think
The lines are die polishing lines ,, as for the color its very hard to judge from a photograph if its on the coin or in the coin if you know what I mean .
The 81 Lincoln Cent is copper not copper plated so the copper can't be gone .
Also, the lines are not "die polishing lines" . Guessing about things might cause someone to learn the wrong thing. There is no way that they are die polishing lines as they look completely different.
Hello, Thank's everyone, I was just curios, but Pink paint=ha ha,wire grinder= If that's what it is whoever did it, they have a awesome grinder and a steady hand! Damage= Sure it's damaged, It's a 26 year old 81-d Color is in the coin, not on the coin! I have not tryed the COKE idea, but that make's the most sense. I also read about were a coin lay's in a stream for a long time, might cause it.
