Hello! I'm a new member from Indiana. As a young person, I spent many Sunday afternoons watching football with my dad and getting out our hobby collection to "play with"~ such great memories as I sort through what's left.
I own an amazing 1832 large cent (double strike of the full date) that I plan to post on the error forum, as I would appreciate your input and advice. I'm getting it slabbed soon, and hubby just took some better photos of it, so hopefully I can figure out how to post these photos! I look forward to sharing them as I'm quite fond of this special coin. Thank you, it's good to be with other coin-enthusiasts.

Great! Once you post the large cent, could you provide a link in this thread?

Certainly! If I need help figuring out how to do so, I might have to ask.

Hello from Los Angeles, California. Earlier this year I attended my first coin show which made me realize I should probably get my box of coins better organized. I found this forum after tirelessly doing google searches for info on every single coin and noticed most of the best answers online where coming from the community here. :)

I'm from Ontario Canada and have only started collecting the last several years. Still trying to learn as much as I can. I haven't found a coin I don't like or find interesting but tend to focus on one and five cent pieces from the U.S. and Canada. Have a particular interest in Indian Head pennies. I was referred to this site by a friend who indicated it was a great place to learn without being made to feel stupid by asking a question.

Hello everyone,I am a new member from the great lakes region of ohio, just signed up after finding this site several months ago. After reading many pages from different topics I have found this place to be a wealth of knowledge, fun, getting others opinions about coin collecting. I collected coins as a small child just pennies mostly, I recently inherited a medium size coin collection collection of various demominations. Not having loads of money to spend on coins I decided to try coin roll hunting about 6 months ago after reading what others have found. As a result I am shocked and amazed of what is out there in the wild. I have found roll hunting to be a great way relax after a long day of work and life's responsibilities!

Bloomingburg,NY Collecting on and off for forty years. Longer if you count the coins my grandmother gave me for yardwork. After that,I moved on to the Sunday coin column in the newspaper. I mailed a lot of money orders to the US Mint. I'm buying mint sets right now. The prices are lower than the issue price over on e-bay.

Hello from Augusta,ME. Started collecting back as a kid in the early 70's, mostly filling the blue folders of pennies and nickels. For some reason stopped and got rid of most my collection. Saved a 1909 VDB Lincoln Cent and a few other coins. Started again recently after inheriting a few coins from my father. Right now I have started with some mint sets, but will probably move on to a specific coin set.
