Hi I have been offered this coin. It's in a PCGS holder MS65RB. I realize you buy the coin and not the holder. Does this coin meet MS65 criteria? What is a good price for this coin since I know very little about them?

nice coin Ken. I am not positive that I would call it 65 but I would easily give it a 64 in 65 I would guess 1200 in 63-4 maybe 6-700. them are only guess's though. I don't do errors myself but there are a few reliable guys here.
Good luck with it in any case

I would pay $500-$600 for it. Check ebay completed listings that should give you a good range.

Lets look at eBay-
MS-65 Red, he just relisted it as it would not reach $750, he is including an DDO-2 which I just might bid on this one.

MS-65 RB could not sell for $750-

MS-64 Red for $410 NGC

PCGS MS-64 Red $599.98

Even PCGS pricing show this at $535 and they are usually high-

The coin in this thread I would grade an 64, there are a couple good hits on the obverse and reverse to get to 65. I have been watching these (I have DDO-2,3,5,7,8,9) and want to complete the set. DDO-4 will be the tough one, as I never see that one for sale. The DDO-1 seems to be holding steady at current prices and seems to be dropping a little. Your coin I would go 600 max, I would low ball the first offer at $450 and go from there.

Edited pricing after further looking into it.

If you do not buy it, let me know what he wants for it, I might bite.
