I'm new so I apologize in advance if I'm incorrect... Is this what's considered a broadstrike? I seem to find many coins like this so I'm assuming it's not really worth much unless in mint condition correct?

If it is broadstruck, then the edge would have no reeding.

If the reverse is normal, then you have a MAD coin. (Miss Alined Die)

These are common.

MADs are only collectible if the devices fall of of the edge.

Looks like a minor Misaligned Die Strike to me.

It really saddens me that we mainly use debit cards now... I can only imagine all the great coins that have passed me by and I just had zero clue. I remember when I'd walk outside and see pennies everywhere but now I try and see nothing. I guess everyone's caught onto collecting because even in spare change I never see anything rare :( I guess you probably either got to dig or metal detect. Either that or search old cars and sofas etc. It's harder than I thought for sure.

It should gladden you that you are aware now (two sides to every coin). I go to the bank and buy rolls of coins, then I cherry pick the keepers and go to another bank and cash them in.

Either your eyesight is getting worse or you just haven't looked hard enough. I find them all the time I'm out, usually.

I've scavenged about $20 in clad so far this year from finding coins on the ground.

It can tend to be quite quite rewarding.
