1970 D 40% Silver Half Dollar "e Pluribus M"

Gemologist New Member United States 5 Posts	Posted 07/16/2015 1:33 pm so, I was looking at my 1970 mint set and I found the reverse of the 1970 D was struck so weakly that there are several things that did not come out onto the coin, most obvious to me is the E Pluribus Unum is missing almost the entire last word with a weak "m" left Is an excessively weak strike even considered an error?
