It looks a bit like 8 Maravedis( http://en.numista.com/catalogue/pieces46040.html ), but the weight seems to be too low, maybe it's a lower denomination coin?

That's amazing. I can read Phillippus IIII. It was sold to me as having been dug by a metal detector, perhaps that is where it lost its weight.
