My experience in watching specimens cross action blocks is they bring whatever two people are willing to bid the price up to. Rarely do I ever see pre-auction estimates be too close to the hammer price. I've seen plenty that fall well short of the estimates, and see just as many get 2-3x an auction estimate. Seems there is a pretty broad range for any given day. Sorry, not much help in this post :(
