1775 farthing. Had this for well over 30 years. It finally gets to be worth something!

Quote: nice umm, farthing? coin Dgwright Thanks Dearborn! Yeah it's a bit hard to see what's going on, on that one! George III, 1775, first coinage.

What bad coins - they're great, Errers DG and Marc!
Inordinately fascinated by bits of metal with strange markings and figures

Quote: The stories these coins could tell... If coins could tell stories... this one might file a police report! I had to look really closely with a magnifying glass to determine that this very beaten-up dime was dated 1918. This was my first coin-machine silver find, and my second Mercury dime find. The first was a 1941, in rather better condition, found in the parking lot of an appropriately ritzy restaurant. Yes, even the change on the ground was high-class!
