Tonight I decided to look for zincolns for the first time. I separated out the "AM" years, along with 1983 and 1984. I thought I found a 1983 DDR, but then I found another one less than 5 minutes later. Now I'm doubting that either one is what I thought it was. Can I get some opinions? Both are bright red, as seen in the first photo. I don't know how to capture color correctly under the microscope.

Not either one of the two known doubled dies. The devices look normal sized. The DDR is shows hub doubling.

The strongest part affected is the ONE CENT and the EPU.

You'll notice on a good number of zincolns the centers of the devices sometimes look collapsed or dented inward giving that appearance on these '83's not sure if it's a form of die deteriation or exactly why it occurs.
