Lamination Peel And Die Crack? - Coin Community Forum

coinmev New Member United States 7 Posts	Posted 01/22/2016 8:43 pm I found this coin today and immediately noticed there was some peeling on the coin. This coin is a 2008 Alaska State Quarter. The spot above the "In God We Trust" section seems like a micro layer was peeled off, the color beneath is the same as the outer coin. I also wanted to post another State Quarter that is lightly toned, has an extremely smooth obverse and has a barely distinguishable mint mark and certain letters are missing ( possibly a Grease Filled Die?).
