Are you talking about the streaky look? If so I think it's an alloy mix error.

First impression was a woodie, but the more I look it kinda looks cleaned against a wire wheel. Note all the gunk in the low areas and how the rest is blazing copper.

The crud could be on top of a woodie. does not look like it was cleaned with a wire wheel.

Regardless of cleaning (or not cleaning) I think it's a woodie. Had nothing been done, I'm betting it would look like a darker woodie.
