Hello. Some time ago I bought two 50c Kennedy from 1976. Both coins are 1976-S and one is UNC/MS, second is a proof version.
I was sure that 1976-S in UNC will weight around 11,55g, so I was really suprised when I saw 11,25g on my scale. Proof version weight around 11,55g, so it is a silver version. I took few other 40% ag examples to be sure that my scale isn't cheating me. Each weight around 11,5-6g. Then I took few clad 1976-S proof and they weight around 11,2g.

Unfortunately edge of my "clad" 1976-S UNC is very dark (dirt and some patina), but I think I see two colours, like on clad version.
Of course coin is uncirculated with any signs of wear, so weight shouldn't be lowered.

Surface is clearly regular strike/MS with very nice cartwheel luster. This is not a proof version for sure.

I have another 1976-S UNC/MS (silver) and this coin weight 11,55g and thickness of the edge is 2,06mm, while "clad" version is 2,01mm thick. Other 40% ag halves like 1968-D are also 2,01mm thick, but as I said before they weight around 11,55g. Diameter of all coins is the same.
What do you think, this is possible that this is 1976-S UNC/MS clad version?
