I picked this up on ebay a few days ago. I know zip about Australian currency. In general I like any currency with British monarchs on them, so that is why I got it.

I see no date or series indicator on this note. Can anyone tell me about when it was produced? It has G VI on it so it was from 1936-1951(?).

Around 1942/3 judging by the serial,heaps brought back into the States by Servicemen,Lady who I met through ebay had a 2nd hand/antiques shop in California and probaly sent me 20 or 30 of these over the years,anything that isn't F+ struggles to sell for over US$20.
After saying all that I'm not really into notes I'm so sure someone on here will be able to provide a more accurate response.

Sometime between 1942 and 1949 for that signature combination.
