1944 S Cents - Need Help With Identifying Different Metal(S) Please

Hey y'all! I found these two 1944 s cents on a routine walk laying on the ground on two different occasions. Basically I need help with the different color of scratch marks found on the cents. If the photos are blurry then I apologize...so I'd better describe. The first few photos show a clear as day silver or steel metal markings whilst the other cent shows a brown copper markings...could someone please explain why this is? Because to me, these cents don't make any sense...thank you-Slymer

Can't tell from the images. Could be " Solder ". Not a error PMD.

Supposedly in 1944 the mint made some experimental cents out of aluminum . but in your case why would anyone want to copper plate a major rarity ?

There is an experimental aluminum cent from that era, I don't remember if it was a 43 or a 44, but it was also twice the thickness of a standard cent. (probably due to the lighter weight of aluminum) Not something you would miss.

If it is higher than the surface of a normal coin, it is probably something on the coin. If it were struck into the coin, it would be even with the surface. (fields-devices-bust areas)
