Found a Stonewall for auction via a Minn auction house that has all 94 medals -- in silver -- posted as individual lots. . .jbuck's pot stirring is paying off. . .

Was successful bidder on the Stonewall Jackson silver version mentioned above. In the "life's little ironies department," a very nice bronze version popped up on another site this morning. . .made an offer. After months of searching, I might end up with two examples of the medal that was the hardest to find. It was a fun journey. Photos to follow.

Fantastic, Captain! Looking forward to seeing your treasure(s)!
Inordinately fascinated by bits of metal with strange markings and figures

Go years searching for an item or group of items and as soon as you find one and buy it, several more pop up.

Picked up the silver version for less than the bronze version. . .decided to get both. Will be taking a vacation from medals for a while. These last few were a bit of a budget hit. So it goes.

Quote: Gotta love high relief MACO medallions. Indeed. There are some wonderful examples out there. . .They have more "soul" than the CNC garbage that has proliferated in the last decade.

Hall of Fame for Great Americans at NYU. Stonewall Jackson. Sculpted by Granville Carter. Issued in 1972. My first HOF medals arrived in early August 2023. Pleased to have a full set of 94. A few are silver, some are the oversized 76mm versions. Will work on getting flyers for all. It has been a fun journey. Thanks for the encouragement. And a special tip o' the cap to @commems whose insights into the medallic side of this hobby were particularly helpful.
